The lily leaf beetle

The Lily Leaf Beetle is back……Have you spotted any? There have been reported sightings in Marathon County this spring. These beetles are quick, although they are easy to spot because of the bright red color, their underside is black. They drop to the ground and flip on their back to disguise themselves amongst leaves or dirt. I have collected them by holding a container with soapy water under them before they drop. These nasty bugs can destroy your lilies in just a few days if they go untreated. From our research the best thing to use is Neem Oil, if you have expierence with something that works please post. Below is document with great information from University of Wisconsin Extension.
